My name is Aaradhya Rai. My father’s name is Dr. Nitin Kumar Rai and my mother’s name is Dr. Swati Rai. I study in DPS Noida, Sector-30, in Class 3. My favourite subject is Maths. Hence, my mother made me join abacus classes, after school hours, 8 months back. I really enjoy the classes held early evening in our sector only. The name of my teacher is Lakshmi ma’am.
This September, Lakshmi ma’am encouraged me to sit for abacus examination held at a National level in Jalandhar. Participants had come from different parts of India. I was very nervous to see so many students as this was the first time I was taking an examination of this level. But I was surprised to hear that I secured third rank. Our ma’am celebrated this success of mine in our abacus class also.
Last month, in November, I got the opportunity to take part in the abacus examination at the State level. It was held in Lucknow. This time I was not so nervous as earlier, and was focused to concentrate and put in my best.
And to my surprise, I won the State championship. This time again, Lakshmi ma’am celebrated my winning the trophy with my class friends. I want to thank my ma’am, mom and dad for all support and guidance.
