The ‘ladies corner’, (most of whom are seniors and super seniors) at Ashoka Park, NFC is always hustling and bustling with happy and vibrant energy from 8.00 am till almost 11.00 am, every single day. There is never a dull moment witnessed either by the ladies, or by any visitor visiting or crossing, the area. To add, greater fun and frolic, to their everyday routine, gup-shup, chai and chat sessions etc. the ladies, got together and hosted a “pre-diwali Breakfast” amongst, themselves. It was a pot-luck, with all of them, putting immense love and affection, as an ingredient, into the sumptuous spread, that was laid, for everyone to savour !
Some other residents, who are not, an everyday part of the ‘ladies club or gang’ at Ashoka Park, were also invited, to join, the bash. I, was one of the privileged ones, to be a part, of the get together. Gosh… there were way, too many goodies… bhelpuri, chole kulche, dhokla, poha, halwa, kadha prasad, kheer, sandwiches, pav bhaji, chila, pink kashmiri chai, etc. All present, including me hogged and hogged, so much so, that I did not feel hungry, throughout the day. It was a great feeling, to be a part of the enjoyment, with such lovable people !!
