VarikshaRopan Samiti, has been holding the lighting programme, in Sheesham Park, on Dhanteras day evening, for the last two years.. This year, it was raining and the Park was wet, with water flowing. The Samiti members, were disheartened, they discussed with each other on finding a solution to continue with the programmes despite the rain, as all were ready with candles, lamps.
As soon as the message of cancellation flashes on everybody’s phone, some members arrived at the park with umbrellas. The enthusiasm was so high that soon other office bearers also joined in, though attendance was not much.
They lighted the lamps, candles and diyas in the dark rainy night , it was fabulous show, every one enjoyed, sweets, snacks and tea.
The zeal, enthusiasm of the members was indeed heart warming, it even lit up the park on that rainy night.
