HWPL(heavenly culture, world peace, restoration of light) an international peace NGO, for the cause of global peace and cessation of war was founded by a Korean war veteran who experienced the ravages of war closely. He continuously built relations and partnership with leaders of governments, faiths and civil society through many peace towns expanding a global network for devising concrete measures for peace based on the declaration of peace and cessation of war. At the same time his work has generated response and concerted efforts for the unification of the Korean peninsula.
SS Rudra President of the Delhi senior citizen welfare Association happened to visit a summit which was held in September 2016 of the HWPL as an invitee from a bonafide member of HWPL. As per Rudra, it indeed appears to him to be a great effort so that peace becomes enhanced as a common value across global community. Thus, he was-inclined to become a member of the organisation, Rudra on an invitation from the HWPL to the summit held at Incheon, South Korea attended from 17 .09.2023 to 21.09.2023. Six delegates of the HWPL visited Delhi towards end of October 20 23, Delhi Senior citizen welfare Association organised a March on 3 November 2023, at District Park where more than hundred people specially crafted with caps with HWPL insignia marched around the district park lake with a number of banners and placards of the HWPL collective Slogans were all along a pronounced that “we are one “in the world and should strongly avoid differential attitudes. Almost 1 hour March was followed by sumptuous Kachori /sweets and Tea.
The enthusiasm of the senior citizens was amazing. Almost all of them were between the age group of70-90 years but they kept singing and dancing all along the March and did laughter meditation also in between. Despite the severe pollution that day when the visibility was also very poor, these dedicated battalion of seniors defied all obstacles and marched towards world peace. This is really an inspiration for younger generation.
The proposed conference with a candidate of more than hundred persons was held the same evening in the recreation cum library centre .Pankaj Agarwal, general secretary of the DSW Association anchored the program while SS Rudra introduced all the delegates of the HWPL to the audience and explained how he came across this global body involved in the great work of creating peace in the world. The delegates of the HWPL exhibited various activities of the HWPL through videos and through their own account which were side-by-side explained in Hindi by the Indian based delegates. Lastly, the MOU was explained to the audience signed by the authorised delegates of HPL It was a very successful peace March.
