It gives us immense pleasure to inform that, in a first of its kind, Noida Authority has approved the cluster based approach to process the biodegradable waste for high rise societies. Around 30 high rise societies
around Sec 50/51 are getting together, to have a decentralized waste management plant. This project will open new gateways in forming more similar clusters and give an immense boost in achieving overall SWM16 compliances in the township.
What it means is: As per the SWM16 guidelines, the bulk waste generators (high rise societies) need to process biodegradable waste in-house. Most of the older high rise societies in this sector do not have any provisioning/ space to process their biodegradable waste in-house.
Noida Authority has provisioned land space for the condominiums that have formed a cluster (30 societies of Sec 50) for setting up a waste processing plant. It is near the main road, behind the new hospital coming up.
This cluster-based decentralized approach shall make us achieve SWM16 compliance in and around this sector. We look forward in achieving zero waste societies.
Would like to convey thanks and gratitude to Ritu Maheshwari, CEO, for her great vision and thoughtfulness in acknowledging this cluster-based approach. Also thankful for Indu Prakash Singh (OSD), S P Singh (DGM), Vijay Rawal (PE) and the NA team for all the cooperation extended in taking this to the next level of execution.
