Like every year, this year too the colourful festival of Karwachauth was celebrated with big fan fare at the Kailashpati Mandir complex. All ladies were dressed in their fineries and most of then were wearing bright red yellow or magenta colour. A festival which is Celebrated only in North India is very popular. All markets are decorated few days before. Colourful stalls of bangles, thalis, Matkis and flowers. Mehndiwalas have a busy and money making time as they quote very high rates at this time. All sweet shops do brisk business. A large number of ladies come to the Mandir complex to do their Pooja where the temple priest or some elderly lady tells the Karwachauth story which the ladies listen to with rapt attention. Seven round of thali is done and after that the photo session starts. Ladies keep fast on this day to pray for the long life of their husbands.
