RK Mandir Defence Colony celebrated the age-old Hindu tradition of Karva Chauth performed by married and unmarried ladies at the Mandir premises on Nov 1. A sea of gorgeously dressed jewelled and adorned married women, in stunning shades of red pinks crimson etc many coyly dressed in their original bridal finery, came gathering at the Mandir venue carrying the traditional Karva thalis for recitation of the age-old Hindu Karva folklore led by the pandit in a marathon group session in rotation from 4 to 630. And thereafter to break their fasts on sighting of moon and seek blessings of their husbands.
