SHO, GK 1, invited our editor MK Gupta to be the PPP on 28 Oct. from 11am to 2pm.
As reported in our last issue, this scheme has been introduced by GK 1, SHO on an experimental basis so that litigation reduces and such PPP’s resolve disputes amongst the residents by mediation.
When MK Gupta was sitting in the Police station, a case came from S Block, where three families had a long outstanding dispute about parking issues and Covering of the service shaft.
After an arduous two hour session, most of the issues were amicably resolved & parties agreed to do the needful for a peaceful coexistence.
Gupta counselled all the parties to live harmoniously & in peace. His message, neighbors are most helpful in an hour of crisis. Relatives come later.
Gupta has been helping the residents & Police on earlier occasions also. He was appointed as a “Police Mitra” in the year 2016-17 & helped in resolving a few cases during that period. He was conferred certificates of appreciation by the Police dept. in 2021-22.
Lot of litigation cost can be saved if such initiatives are taken by other Police stations too.
