One-of-a-kind incident came to light through the CCTV cameras, where a maid was caught stealing freshly grown vegetables. The incident took place in the E block of DLF Phase 1. The incident happened in broad daylight, which gives us all the more reason to be careful and attentive.
The CCTV footage has been circulated among the groups to make the residents aware. We are bringing this up so that everyone stays alert, as today it’s a vegetable, but tomorrow it could be any valuable item.
We all have domestic helps, so as good neighbours, we must do a few things to protect the safety of our community: 1. Collect the present, permanent address of the maid and get to know where she lives. Have a full-size photograph of the maid. If the maid is not referred by any known people, tell her you will be counter-checking with the local police. 2. Don’t allow the maid to come with her friends while doing the job. 3. Always keep valuables under lock and key and not within easy access of anyone. As responsible residents we must ensure to follow the above points, thereby avoiding any mishaps in the future.
