A Diwali Milan was organized by ATS Senior Citizens Welfare Association on 27 October. The same was attended by more than 60 residents. The program started with Deep Prajwalan by President, Secretary, Cashier and other EC members of the Association. Some prominent residents too were requested for this ceremony.
Manoj Sachdeva welcomed our great resident, founder member and retired army officer Brig. N. Kumar. Hukam Chand Gupta welcomed M.M. Sangal, a founder member of and on association’s request made him Patron of Association.
A great enthusiast, Pallavi Bhushan, decorated the Senior Citizens Hall aesthetically and beautifully. She chose to do it on her own. Such acts set a great example of dedication and zeal. She deserves all appreciations.
The program was very well anchored by Shail Tiwari, who’s a great orator and has vast knowledge of many subjects including poetry.
On this occasion, Ganpati Vandana was sung by a young resident, Pooja Gosain. Thereafter Aneeta Mehrotra sang Sri. Ram Stutee. After which many seniors sang very melodious songs. Some of those who sang are Mrs. Sahajwani, Juhi Mehra, Harinder Kaur, Mrs. Sangal, Mr. Bhandari, Mrs. Bhushan and many more.
A full variety of South Indian snacks were served with drinks. Two games of Tambola were played by residents with full fun and enjoyment. Residents thereafter enjoyed a full spread South Indian Dinner with sweets.
Specially made Diya sets made by a Gaushala NGO were purchased by Association to help this NGO and gifted to the residents who attended this program free of cost.
Most Important contribution in this program and all other hosted in part few years is of most dedicated and selfless Secretary of the association, Vijay Mehra, a known and always smiling face.
Everyone praised the program and thanked the Association for the successful function. It was a great evening.
