Navratri celebrations and dandiya go hand in hand. It’s one of the most awaited days when devotees get to celebrate their love for our Goddess.
With so many celebrations all around, how could Carlton hold back? On 22nd Oct, Carlton lawns were decked with bright colours and lights, one side dedicated to performances prepared by the residents and the other side dedicated to food stalls and shopping stalls. There was a little something for our cricket lovers who didn’t want to miss the epic India vs Pakistan match, which was being showcased whilst everyone waited.
The evening hosted by CECA and the cultural team started with a beautiful comparing done by Anjali Bindal, followed by the Aarti ceremony done by Manju Bhargava and Kamini Kapoor. What followed after was a pure treat to the eyes, mesmerizing performances by the ladies and girls of Carlton dressed in their typical ghagra and cholis, swaying to tunes Garba music. The crowd truly enchanted by the performances demanded “once more” and the ladies, very graciously obliged.
The evening ended with the crowd joining the dance floor and kids munching on the yummy food.
