Anand Niketan residents dance to the tune of garba
Dandiya night was held on Friday, 20th October from 7 pm to 10 PM at Dussehra Park. Residents danced to the foot tapping Live music sponsored by Square Yards and also watched Garba performances by the children and ladies of Anand Niketan.The festivities were followed by Dinner. Special arrangements were made for vrat food.
The preparation for the Dandiya dance/garba started well in advance with children up to the age of 10 years, teenagers and ladies of the colony preparing for the day. On the 5th navratri the Dandiya program took off with the performances by the children followed by the teenagers and the ladies of the colony. There was enthusiastic participation by the audience as well. The garba dance went on for more than two and a half hours. Over 600 residents took part in the Dandiya night and enjoyed it to the hilt.
Children, adults and senior citizens all enjoyed together the live music in which singer Vivek belted out one garba number after another. All were dancing to the garba tunes. All the dancing made people ravenous and the sumptuous food on offer as well as the vrat food was gobbled up in no time.
It was a vibrant and colourful Dandiya Night! ANRWA expressed their heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of the residents for making the Dandiya Night a resounding success. The enthusiastic participation and vibrant energy of the residents transformed the evening into a memorable celebration.
The presence of the residents in such large numbers and their spirited dance moves lit up the event and brought the community together in the spirit of joy and togetherness fostering a sense of unity. Residents too hoped to look forward to creating more wonderful memories together in future events.
