Sector 40 & 41 Noida

Letter to Editor

Respected members of the society,

I Simar Singh Arora , a resident of C-56 sector 41 was born and bought up in this prestigious area of sector 41,Noida. My family is living in this area since 2005.I study in class 10 in Ryan International School, Sector- 39.

I want to share an incident of harassment which has caused me mental trauma.

Yesterday I was playing in the park of C-block sector 41.The care taker of the park appointed by the RWA namely Sujata Sood, a resident of C-59 SECTOR-41 wrongly  blamed me and my friends for things she did not like. When I tried to correct her and convey my points to her she shouted at me and started using abusive words for  me (tere se koi baat karta hai ullu ka #### kyu aa jaata hai yaha par)I have the video clips. I was so shocked at the abusive language used by her for a fifteen year old for playing in the park.  Traumatized and humiliated this way, I kept silent while the argument kept going on between my friend’s grandfather, Alka aunty and Sujata aunty. She again pointed me out by saying “Ek aapka grandson aur ek ye sardar mujhe bilkul pasand nahi hai” I have the video clips. She chooses to calls me Sardar in a very disrespectful way though she knows my name.

In the past also, she chooses to single me out by calling me Sardar, though she calls all my friends by their names. But when it comes to me she particularly target’s my community. I belong to Sikh community and proud to be a member of this community. We are courageous and well wishers of the society. I fail to understand why Aunty discriminates me on the basis of religion?

Last year she had slapped me and twisted my finger on a false allegation that I burst a cracker in front of her house. My family had lodged a complaint with child welfare department.  But Anil Khanna Uncle intervened and pressurized us to make a compromise.

Now it’s an appeal to all uncles and aunties/ brothers and sisters that please guide me that what should I do and save me from this care taker of the park – a park that is supposed to belong to all of us.
