The grandness of Wish Town celebrations has been a great experience since 2021. It is again a time of jollity as we join hands to celebrate the divine power, Maa Durga. We will celebrate ‘Wish Town Durga Puja Festival 2023’ at the Sports field, opposite PH2, from 20 to 24 October 2023.
Durga Puja celebration will commence on the sixth day (Shashti) of Navratri. Devotees will welcome the Goddess and festive celebrations will be inaugurated. On the seventh (Saptami), eighth (Ashtami) and ninth (Navami) days, we will revere Maa Durga, along with Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Saraswati, Lord Ganesh, and Lord Kartikeya.
We will celebrate Dussehra on 24 October, marking the end of festivities.
We have already begun the preparations to welcome Maa Durga by designing a celebratory canvas along with a colourful spectrum of festivities. WTSS is committed to put its best effort for creating a memorable experience of a majestic pandal, grand decorations and larger-than-life cultural fests.
The cultural fest includes a classical performance by Dr. Neeta on inauguration followed by Bhajan Sandhya by professional singers, Odissi dance by Dr. Pompei Paul, Musical night by Sagarika Deb and many exciting performances by our inhouse talent.
Graceful ladies will rock the stage again this year with their euphoric performances. Dandiya nights, the much-awaited dance to the rhythm of joy, will take place on Saptami, Navami and Dussehra nights.
A choreographer will be available for three days at Club3 to help you tune your steps. You will receive further communication from the organizing team shortly.
WTSS believes in ecofriendly celebrations. The divine idols of Maa Durga, Goddesses Lakshmi & Saraswati, and Lords Ganesha & Kartikeya will be made of clay combined with straw, kneaded, and then moulded into a cast made of hay and bamboo.
Thanks to residents for contributing generously to make every event grand and successful. Contribution collected during Wish Town Durga Puja Festival has been used diligently not just for Durga Puja but also for Guru Nanak Jayanti, Christmas & New Year, Maha Shivratri, Holi Milan, Ramadan (Iftar) and Annual Sports Events.
We look forward to your active participation to make the Wish Town Durga Puja Festival a grand celebration.Happy Durga Puja!
