Silver Oaks complex is one of the pioneer complexes built by DLF. The construction is solid and the parks are plentiful and spread all over the complex. People relocate either due to necessity or to be close to their families. What began as a trickle to Gurgaon soon became a stream. More than 68 people have bought apartments in Silver Oaks in the last 1 yrs.
Are they happy with choosing Silver Oaks or do they yearn for greener pastures? We tried to get several viewpoints and this is what we found.
When one buys a house, they say, one looks for a centrally located and easily accessible area. They wanted markets and malls nearby so that if they wanted to buy something, go for a movie or go out for a meal, they did not have to travel a long distance.
Also, they looked for good medical facilities nearby so that in the unfortunate event of illness or an accident, they got world-class treatment. Silver Oaks has several good hospitals nearby. Within the complex, there is a medical room run by Fortis Hospital where a nurse is available from 10 to 5 for blood pressure monitoring, dressings etc. A physiotherapist also has a room in the complex.
All age groups find companionship. There are the senior citizens who gather in the evening to sit on the lawn, where benches have been thoughtfully provided, to chat and discuss everything under the sun. The children play with their small companions.
All festivals are celebrated together. Birthdays or small parties can be held in the Party Room. There is a library which has a good collection of books, donated by the residents.
There is ample space for walks and there are two open-air gyms. Some residents hold Yoga classes. Temples and a Gurudwara are also close by.
All these factors work in favour of taking up residence in Silver Oaks.
