Of late the residents of DLF 2 witnessed a lot of colours in DLF 2. White flag poles were erected and red and orange silk flags could be seen fluttering in the breeze. These flags were seen at many points and one started to get the feeling of a school event where colour-wise house flags were put up before any major event. After Red, suddenly it became green… no, not with envy! It was the green garden cloth which was draped around the boundary of empty plots, plots which had become dumping grounds and not been cleaned for months, and electric transformers too were covered to hide the ugly sites.

Next was the turn to turn Brown. K 16 Park which was under renovation for its walking path suddenly was uprooted. Benches, an open-air gym and swings everything pulled out and the garden was dug up. A board of “Inconvenience caused due to upgradation of the park” could be seen. A new entry to the park was the main cause of this change. A truck load of garbage was seen being removed from other empty plots.

The site of garbage being picked up, and roads swept brought a wave of happiness among those who were noticing all of this. The mystery unfolded when the Blue board of DLF Property Mela to showcase the Builders floors came up. Sample flats were ready for buyers to inspect and invest.

The irony is that there are many red flags which need to be addressed, camouflaging does not solve the issues which need attention.
