How AI may be used for resident’s benefits?
During the recent years, “Artificial Intelligence” (A.I.) has been used in various activities to get better and faster results. I met few residents who are working in multinational corporates as CEO, CFO etc and using AI officially to improve the efficiency, data usage and precious time of their team members. One of them explained AI as Artificial intelligence is the science of making machines that can think like humans. It can do things that are considered “smart.” AI technology can process large amounts of data in ways, unlike humans. The goal for AI is to be able to do things such as recognize patterns, make decisions, and judge like humans. AI is important for its potential to change how we live, work and play. It has been effectively used in business to automate tasks done by humans, including customer service work, lead generation, fraud detection and quality control. In a number of areas, AI can perform tasks much better than humans.
How RWA’s are using it effectively in Delhi NCR?
1) The data is the king – As we all know that the current data of residents is not available due to frequent changes due to sale of floors, death, marriage etc. There are simple data tolls which may be offered to the residents (as done by banks) to update their data about family members, profession, hobbies etc to enable the RWA to invite them for various activities directly.
2) The data for senior citizens, widows, ailing residents may be useful to support them in case of emergency.
3) The security can be strengthened: As the major concern of Defence colony is always its security, especially to the seniors, ladies. Due to non-availability of security during the day time and also due to opening of many gates, our colony is vulnerable to frequent thefts, burglaries, unwanted visitors entry etc. Once we have the data, CCTV with AI, may be useful to support them timely. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are adding a layer of proactive trouble detection to CCTV cameras. With the addition of artificial intelligence, CCTV cameras are now able to spot potential shoplifters and alert shopkeepers of suspicious behaviour.
4) Vendor menace can be controlled: AI enabled identity cards may be issued to limited vendors who can provide KYC and are ready to get police verification done. This would be useful to have time slots for these vendors as per the requirements of our residents.
5) Event management: Def col is known for events but due to poor communication, many miss the event details and it results in poor footfalls and sales. If AI enabled notification can be sent to the targeted residents t will involve maximum in colony’s activities. The RWA may get better ideas about the requirements of residents about events, book launch, talk shows, movie shows etc by providing them access through AI.
6) Membership status, Annual charges: As more than 50% residents are not paying annual charges, this data and notifications will provide details to take necessary action.
7) Customer care cell regarding Civic issues and other problems: This is a regular problem to get the issues resolved from the civic authorities on time. There are many complaints which remain unresolved due to various reasons will be highlighted during meetings with the officials. The data can be uploaded on the websites of these departments to reach the higher officials if not solved by the local persons.
Lastly, as we have so many educated technocrats and senior officers working in renowned organisations, we can create a team to use the latest technology for the benefit of our residents who are quite tech-savvy and want to improve their lives.
