Looking at the Sushant Lok C block in general, nowadays we find more of the trees disappearing and giving way to the concrete, even when the pavement is paved hardly any space is left for the trees to breathe. Many have complained about this and we all have noticed it time and again, this time Mr. Verma and Mr. Tandon from the SLRWA took it a step further when they asked Mr. Sikri to get them an appointment with Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, CEO of GMDA to resolve the matter. On 27th of September they went and met Mr. Rajpal and explained the problem of green encroachment, he has given them a patient hearing and has promised to resolve the issues in time.
From time immemorial we have heard about conserving our greens, our elders have taught this, the schools we attended and so many other mediums relayed it to us, in so many different ways but we don’t pay any heed to it perhaps we have decided to leave nothing for the future generations! If we are not awaken now perhaps we will become responsible for the coming generations bereaved condition of Nature, so let’s awake and spread the seeds of Nature all around and provide Mother Nature the security that she returns to us in time. In the words of the Wangari Maathai,” The environment and the economy are really both two sides of the same coin. If we cannot sustain the environment, we cannot sustain ourselves.”
