Shrinking Mandir Parisar

The Huge Parking Lot Has Reduced to a Quarter of Its Original Size

The area around the Mahavirji Temple (Mandir parisar) seems to have shrunk. The huge parking lot has reduced to a quarter of its original size and the adjoining school looks bigger.

A new trust, DLF Raghvendra Temple Trust, has appeared on the fliers of Krishna Janmashtami. The residents of Greater Kailash would much appreciate a clarification on the same.

CCTV cameras have been installed, in the last fifteen days, to focus on the deities/ donation boxes. It’s rather creepy to be watched all the time in the temple. The atmosphere has become very unwelcoming.

The beautiful natural landscaping, because of being on a hillock, will soon be destroyed as levelling work is in progress.

The Manager of the temple does not have any tangible answers and the trustees are unapproachable.

The temple was much less crowded on Janmashtami this year as compared to the previous years. A lot of regular devotees were missing. Someone needs to ponder on the reason for people losing faith in this temple which is as old as the inception of Greater Kailash.
