Sushant Lok C block celebrated the 77th Independence Day of free India on the 15th August at the Community Centre, this year too. Prior to it, the General Secretary of SLRWA, Deepak Verma, sent an invitation to all the residents of C block, on 13 August, stating that they had decided to gather at the Community Centre, Sushant Lok, C block in the morning of 15th August to commemorate the 77th Independence Day of India.
On I-Day the Flag Hoisting was held at 10.30 am amidst a pleasant and patriotic mood. Surprisingly a lot of senior citizen crowd was present and took full participation in celebrating the allegiance day.
They all sang the National Anthem with fervour and concluded the celebration with high tea and snacks. The nationalistic feeling was quite potently present in the spirit of the children and the enthusiasm they portrayed at the celebration. Mr Verma had asked them to come and honour the legacy of our nation’s independence and they came, celebrated and put another stamp on our proud nation’s independence.
Yet another laurel SLRWA achieved after its grand celebration, hope they continue the great effort in binding the residents of Sushant Lok.
