In a relentless effort to curb the proliferation of illegal commercial activities in residential areas, the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) Enforcement team conducted two days of sealing operations. Fourteen establishments in DLF Phase II were sealed.
DTCP Enforcement Officer Manish Yadav led the campaign, sealing 14 businesses operating from seven residential houses on Jacaranda Marg and Bougainvillea Marg. He emphasized the importance of residents’ cooperation in putting an end to these unauthorized activities.
Show cause notices and restoration orders were previously issued to over 150 illegal commercial activities in DLF Phase II by the DTCP Enforcement, but the majority of operators failed to provide satisfactory responses or restore the properties to their original state. The RWA of DLF 2 sent a message to all groups urging residents to ensure all unauthorised commercial activities are put on a stop in the colony.
On the other hand, many residents received notice for wrongful and commercial activities. In this response, a concern was raised by Vipin Yadav to the DTCP Manish Yadav. Manish Yadav ji urged affected parties to send a video message with a copy of the notice and property details. He assured that any erroneous notices would be swiftly rectified.
As the crackdown on illegal commercial operations continues, the DTCP remains committed to maintaining the residential sanctity of licensed colonies while addressing concerns of wrongful notices.
