Already Year 2024 being so much in discussion, it is time to remind the authorities to look into the Constituency problems faced by some Vasant Kunj citizens.
It’s about Sector-C Vasant Kunj – Pockets C5-6-7-8 & 9 -needing also to be a part of the same Constituency: Mehrauli.
We have been raising this issue every time before and after the Elections are held but are either ignored and/or just assured with NO positive results!
Currently these few C-pockets are covered under : Bijwasan
A huge constituency covering widely spread parts of Dhulsiras, Mahipalpur, Rangpuri, Nangal Dewat, Bijwasan, Samalkha, Bamnauli, Kapashera, etc.etc.
Not only that it makes the job of the political leaders/ representatives so difficult to handle and look into their problems, it also at times makes them feel as the “Left-Overs”.
Believe it or not, another small pocket C-4 is also alienated and linked with yet another Constituency- Lado Sarai! Why ?
May we once again appeal to the authorities that the whole of Vasant Kunj ought to be under one Constituency.
These separated pockets of Sector C deserve the due attention for which they pay such heavy taxes.
Worth noting that the problems of an elite DDA Colony like Vasant Kunj, are so different from those of the widely-populated semi-urban inhabitants of Bijwasan.
Hoping the authorities shall wake up and do justice to these left over small pockets of Sector-C, and bring the entire Vasant Kunj under one Constituency.
And save them from the sordid sentiments of feeling as the “Step Children” !!
