My Didi Malti (C-183) as I Saw Her

My relationship with Didi spanned an incredible two decades. What began as a simple neighbourly connection blossomed into a bond as close as family.

Each time I left her presence, I felt spiritually rejuvenated and uplifted; every interaction with her felt like a soulful Satsang. The depth of her affection was profound, and words fall short in capturing its essence. Even though she hailed from a Punjabi background and I from a Bengali one, I was pleasantly surprised to learn she could comfortably read and speak Bengali.

While she was a devoted follower of Radhaswami, she held immense reverence for Shree Ramakrishna. Such was her admiration that she journeyed to Dakshineswar in Calcutta, the abode of Ramakrishna. She also introduced me to her spiritual world, taking me multiple times to Chattarpur to seek blessings from her Guruji.

Today, because she isn’t with us physically, the emptiness is palpable. But I find solace knowing that our souls remain intertwined, and her essence forever resonates with me.
