Khandit Murti Visarjan

We often see the abandoned idols under the trees, transformers and even alongside the drains everywhere in DLF Phase 2. This very sight hurts the sentiments of many residents. Team Samvad has constantly raised the issue.

Vipin Yadav, a resident of P Block DLF Phase 2 started the campaign ‘Khandit Murti Visarjan’ in which he requested the residents to submit their broken idols of gods and goddesses at Gauri Shankar Mandir, N block. People responded to him with great enthusiasm.

Vipin later informed that “We received 348 idols from across DLF Phase-2. With the help of the priest, we did tarpan and did the rituals in a religious and eco-friendly manner.’
