A Youngster’s Start-Up Success Story

Personalities of The Forest

Meeting Ashish Baheti, a young entrepreneur at the age of 55, was a delight. His struggle, success, handing over baton to the next generation and now a fully satisfied person, I wanted to know of his overall achievements at his “Jannat” residence, in The Forest. Our conversation unfolded the different chapters of timely decisions, devotion, hard work, business strategies and guidelines for upcoming younger generations!

His utterance, “I find best talent in the country, organise them and leave them absolutely free to deliver results,” gave a feeling of a young JRD Tata sitting in front of me.

Ashish completed his Mechanical Enginnering from IIT Kanpur. Father was in banking service; so with no family business support, he decided to take a plunge into the stormy sea of business. His back to wall, facing all kind of difficulties he came up with novel ideas in the related industry, incorporated all kind of research, climbed the ladder of success step-by-step with dedicated honesty and established a chain of 57 units in plastic moulding industry. All these units are working with complete freedom under his able guidance.

With a futuristic approach, he associated with number one brand of the world to bring more investments and best of the product into the country. He is honest to the core, offered full freedom to new associates and has taken a side seat, as director, guiding them from the top with the Indian System of working without any hassle or hesitation!

Attached to the Indian culture, he groomed his daughter and son in the knowledge of Indian business though sent them to study abroad. Daughter worked in his company for long and recently joined a big group as Chief Revenue Executive. Son also worked with family company but is recently on his own as entrepreneur, financier to start-ups, Stock Exchange and other ventures. Both children have a down-to-earth personality.

The family has visited more than 80 foreign countries and left no corner of important destination within the country!

Major credit goes to wife Sarika Baheti for her complete devotion to family business plus full attention to children and home as well. She is a warm host; with Japanese-flavoured coffee, coconut and variety of spread over our conversation, we could see the strong person behind a successful family!
