On 25th June, Carlton estate was decked in shades of purple and white, with lawns glimmering with fancy items, clothes and children rushing to see what munchies they could convince their parents to buy. The lawns were once again busy echoing with the chatter of all those who attended.
However, the main showstopper of the event was the Eiroi band that performed live for the residents, who took the residents by surprise with his melodious voice- so much so that even when the Singers’ guitar broke down, the residents volunteered to get him their own, but the day was saved and the performance continued without a hiccup much to the audience’s pleasure who couldn’t get enough of his singing.
Whilst the adults revelled in a nostalgic musical journey the kids kept themselves busy with slices of pizza and potatoes on a stick. The Evening ended with Residents leaving the lawns with a smile on their faces. “ Carlton 4 houses citizens who not only know but also love their music, organizing a live performance like this one was a fresh change and we hope to have many more of such performances here in future”- mentioned a resident.
