Retreatians Celebrate Yoga Day

While there were no community celebrations on Yoga Day, Retreatians celebrated Yoga Day their own way and here’s a sneak peek.

Our Yoga Day Hero is little Myra- a nine-year-old little Yogi from Ivory Tower. Myra was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes when she was 2.6 years and physical activity is a must for her. “Initially we sent her for some sports activity in KR Mangalam (next to our society), then my mom suggested Yoga” says her mom Ekta. And that’s how it started for Myra and no looking back since then! It’s been 4 years since she is practicing Yoga. Yoga has done wonders for her, she is super flexible, agile fit. She can manage Diabetes through Yoga!

Anaisha from Ivory Tower celebrated Yoga Day during her Goa vacation. Yoga helps Anaisha to strengthen her mind and soul… She tries to do different poses in yoga which helps in her flexibility.

Little Yogis Amayra Nagpal 4.5 years and Swaraj Nagpal 3 years enjoyed Yoga Day with playful yoga sessions. Aadya (10 yrs) and Ayushman Agarwal – 7 yrs have been learning yoga for the past year and they love Yoga. Little Anaya (8yrs) enjoys her yoga practices.

When children are so enthusiastic how can adults stay behind? Asha Rajendran from Heights has been doing yoga for the last 5 years. Yoga has helped her in many ways; Asha lost pregnancy weight from 108kg to 53kg. She has had knee & neck injuries. It helped her strengthen her knee & neck. “Yoga gives me a lot of strength & stamina, because of it I could do two marathons of 10 km and I still run 12 km three times a week!” says Asha.

Neel (from Ivory Tower) a fitness enthusiast and yoga practitioner has shared how enthusiastically she celebrated Yoga Day.

Shweta, from Heights, learns Yoga for quite some time now and she enjoys Yoga as a medium of fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Sarita From Heights was one of the very few who actually reached the club house to celebrate Yoga Day by practising Yoga. She’s a trained Yoga practitioner and teacher herself.
