Young Boy Jumped the Boundary Wall Near H.no.476

Security Breach from Outer Periphery Continues

At around 3:50 AM a young boy 20-22 years old entered the Sector by jumping over the boundary wall near H.no.476. He was caught immediately by the patrolling guard. Mayank Gupta, RWA Security Convenor, reached the spot immediately and questioned him about why he entered the Sector unauthorisedly.

He said that he had not entered the Sector to steal or harm any of our Sector residents or domestic servants, but to meet someone in the Sector who called him but did not want the security check at the Gates and therefore took the wrong path to enter. This was confirmed by the person whom he wanted to meet.

However, because the method of entry adopted by him was a security breach, the police were called and he was handed over to them.

The boundary wall near the H.no.476 is damaged at some places and needs to be repaired. The RWA has been looking to raise the height of the boundary wall and install concertina barbed wire over it but not much has been achieved so far. So the outer periphery will continue to be vulnerable to intrusions till the matter is addressed.

Internal security in the Sector also continues to be a big concern as many cases are being reported; most of the petty thefts reported have been carried out by staff employed by residents. Recently, a theft of a watch was reported by Alok Binani (H.no.426) by his domestic servant (Ms.) Almas. She had begun working just the previous day, as a replacement for his old helper who had to go on leave and provided her as a temp till her return.  The very same day she stole a watch from his residence and left. After getting the information, G4S patrolling guard Pawan Singh stepped in. When he called her mobile, she admitted that she stole the watch and had kept it at her home. Her husband brought back the watch and handed it over to Pawan, who in turn returned it to Mr Binani. The culprit was not handed over to the cops at the request of Mr Binani.
