Rajan Kalra’s Home With Inspirational Attitude
Living in Regency Park 2 for a number of years, Rajan Kalra was inspired with so many things, to decorate his home. And he surely did and it took him a couple of years for creating an environment which he now calls ‘My humble peaceful abode.’
Rajan says “I created, curated and collected various accessories for my home which I arranged in such a manner that the entire home gives me a feeling of content and peace. The secret of making a house a home lies within all of us but it takes an interest in the things you like. In my opinion, a home is where you spend most of your valuable time like resting, dinning working chores etc.”
The secret sauce behind his home decor are those gorgeous artefacts that compliment each piece of furniture, accessory, and throw pillow so that when his guests enter, they are in awe and appreciate the collection of things.
Rajan wall dawn with an overwhelming collection of art works and sculptures which makes one wonder the stories behind them.
“As for me, the moment I enter my home I get a feeling of content and fulfilment and I love watching every nook and corner that I have arranged.” Says Rajan “I have curated many things, including accessories such as table lamps, artefacts and porcelain. My collection also includes tea kettles, bone china stuff other than porcelain, throw pillows, traditional lamps wall coverings. I have created a couple of walls of gallery since I am an artist myself and I paint on canvas. My work goes back to my school days when I started painting on canvas back then. ‘cause i don’t like naked walls.
The little things in my house inspire me to be personal and artful with our decorating choices and skills creating spaces that reflect my personality. Needless to say that interior decorating is a serious affair.”
