In a fast paced life, we sometimes get an opportunity to connect to nature and here we got this one to visit a wild life sanctuary not so far from our sector. Khelo 39 group is a sector group initiated by Suraj Verma and Deepak Varshney – with an objective of overall well-being of residents. Several initiatives like cricket, badminton, football, TT, hiking, wild life century and photography etc have been taken by this group, so that residents of different age groups have choices to play the game of their interest.
Suraj Verma and Deepak Varshney mooted this idea to visit a wildlife sanctuary. Yash Sahai and yours faithfully were given the task for coordinating the trip. Around 20 residents of different age groups left early morning at 6 am on 14 May, so that a holistic outing could be made together with fun and nature.
We left for the sanctuary and started our journey towards the flora fauna of the wild.
It was an exciting entry into the Asola Wild life sanctuary where we traversed the park in our own vehicles and reached a place at the end of the park where there was an artificial lake with a beautifully maintained park depicting statues of wild animals. Through our journey into the park, we could hear chirping of birds and peacocks with deers and Nilgais relaxing in morning sun. We were in a world of trees, parks and lakes and had an out of the world experience.
Our group members were gracious to have bought some snacks and drinks like lassi, chaach and lemonades , tea to keep us hydrated all along.
We reached our homes by 10 in the morning. It was an experience that we will all cherish. We wondered why we didn’t plan it any earlier.
