Think of a cop, and the image that comes to mind is that of a khaki-clad man, whose reputation and belly precede his entry. One look at the police force and you know, most of them finished all the running they had to do before they joined the force. Now they only run into trouble because the culprits more often than not, manage to get away.
To be fair, this ‘big fat affair‘ is in fact endemic to police forces all across the world. Our men take a bigger beating, as they have built a reputation of being this slothful behemoth, which doesn’t move without ‘Chai Paani‘.
On 18th May, Haryana’s Home and Health Minister, Anil Vij, issued an order to keep the health of the Police Force and that of the policemen in check. As per the order, all the policemen who were found to be obese ( which we are given to believe is about 21% of the force) would be sent to police lines, where they would be made to do regular exercises, till they get back in shape.
So Hungry Tau, Khaand Pind ke din khatam, Ib to Sape Up, or Sip Out ( Shape Up or Ship Out) to the police lines.
