Chanting Hanuman Chalisa

Laughter club members of Princeton Estate chant Hanuman Chalisa on all Tuesdays and Saturdays at about 6 pm sitting on the chairs and benches in Cen-tral Park where they spend
their evenings sharing and pooling their thoughts every day.

Hanuman….the embodiment of courage, strength and devotion is remembered by chanting His verses by a dozen of our eminent members. The other corner of the pathway is occupied by elegant senior women folks and the chanting is echoed from there too.

It is such a spectacular sight with the children playing in the park, people as usual on their go and the inspiring chants of our seniors in full spirit. The chanting is accompanied by the rhythmic claps of all the members. This makes everyone turn back and devote-a minute to thinking of our creator.

At every meeting, one of the members sponsors the Prasad which is usually a box of laddoo or burfi and the person goes around to each person, including the women folk to distribute the Prasad after the chant. The 20-minute chant relaxes the body and soul and prepares us for other routine work. Thus twice a week our eminent, committed seniors spend their time inspiring others. With all these chants and sharing and caring for others, one cannot even imagine a life away from our precious Princeton.
