Earlier this month as a drove past Museo Rd I noticed a maid pulling out a flowering plant from the ground and taking it away. For a second I wasn’t sure what to do, but I pulled up my car and confronted her immediately.
After giving her a piece of my mind, I asked her to take the plant there and re-plant it. As a crowd gathered around me, I made it a point to tell them that this behaviour is not acceptable and that there will be serious consequences for damaging public property this way.
As a parting note, the shocked and shaken-up maid was asked to even water the plant for the next few days. This incident is more about preserving the horticulture in the neighbourhood. Often we see maids and helpers plucking flowers, leaves and plants without realising the harm it’s causing to our neighbourhood horticulture.
Next time you see someone doing something like this, I urge you to stop and intervene.
