Iftar Celebrations Across Wishtown

Ramadan fast is broken at sunset with a meal called Iftar. This daily ritual is usually done with family & friends. A time to be grateful & to thank the almighty!

Imperial Court Ka Iftar: On Sunday, 16 April, IC friends enjoyed Iftar celebrations together. Fast was broken using dates & water, followed by fruits. After the prayers, neighbours eagerly mingled, forming new bonds. We relished the spread of kebabs, qorma, biryani with Zarda topping (sweet rice) & Phirni.

A few IC ladies had planned the Iftar & prepared the treats that everyone relished. A resident hosted this at his house. Food was also distributed among the society staff. It was heartening to see the camaraderie, cutting across religions.

The Iftar concluded with a thanks to volunteers who put in effort to make this a reality.

WTSS Ka Iftar: Saturday, 8 April became an opportunity to seek blessings & to express gratitude to friends. WTSS mission is to bind the diverse community together through shared cultural experiences. The Iftar organised by WTSS focused to build a bridge of compassion.

300+ residents gathered to commemorate Allah’s generous spirit & to break the fast. The Iftar had an uplifting ambience & featured a variety of foods. Residents enjoyed the delicacies & greeted each other with a “Ramadan Mubarak”.

WTSS team had worked relentlessly to ensure flawless arrangements. The venue was fumigated twice to keep it insect free.
