The Wishtown Golf Course is a key feature of our community. It contributes significantly to the aesthetic appeal and enables residents to get a challenging and rewarding golfing experience. Its beautiful surroundings & high-quality facilities make it a popular destination for golfers from all over India & beyond.
So, as Jaypee Wishtown residents, we must know all about our pride, the Golf Course. It’s spread over 27 picturesque holes, split into a regular par 67 18-hole course & an additional 9-hole par 3 course which abuts the Kalypso & Imperial Court towers. It also has a compact range & a few practice areas.
The Course is already a popular destination for amateur & serious golfers alike. Its quality has led to several PGTI feeder tournaments being organised here. To further increase its quality, the management has made the following improvements –
Controlled watering at night which leads to quality fairways.
- Maintenance of differential grass height between tees, fairways & roughs twice a week to create top golfing experience.
- Changing direction of cut & polishing greens frequently to increase their challenge & speed.
- Cleaning up regularly to maintain appearance.
- Increasing levels of water hazards to make playing conditions more challenging.
Given the popularity of the Jaypee Wishtown Golf Course, an upgrade to a full par 71 course is also underway –
- The front 9 of the par 67 course will be changed to 7 holes by closing holes 2 & 5 and extension of 40 to 70 yds in 6 holes to increase tee lengths & par scores.
- Second 9 holes to be converted to 7 holes by closing hole 14, merging holes 15 & 16 and extension 5 holes to increase the tee lengths & par scores.
- Third 9 will be converted to 4 holes – 3 par 4 & 1 par 3.
- Addition of safety benches around every lake to make the viewing experience safer.
- Addition of a few creeks, waterfalls & fountains to circulate & aerate the water.
