Our focus this April at Mahagun Maple was on health and environment. The various events that were held during the month are as follows. Mahagun Maple is sure becoming a happening place!
Sports Day
A Sports Day event was organized on 09 April. The sporting events included a variety of games, viz, lemon race, basketball challenge, find my tower, tug-of-war and a quiz too.
The fierce competitive spirit along with bonhomie amongst the residents was amazing – both young and old participated with gusto and sporting spirit.
Once everyone had worked up an appetite, stalls of fast food for the young and finger licking South Indian delicacies, for the discerning, did brisk trade.
Tree Plantation
A tree plantation drive took place on 13 April. In this saplings of the ’Chandni tree’ were planted by the children of the society. To generate a personal connection, each sapling carried the name tag of the child planting it.
As many would be aware, blossoms of the Chandni tree have astonishing restorative properties, known to reduce burning sensation and helps in relaxing the tired eyes.
Earth Day
To celebrate Earth Day, which is celebrated globally on 22 April, a poster-slogan painting competition and quiz were organized on in our society that day which was a Saturday. The quiz and slogans were an engaging way to generate awareness towards keeping our earth clean and green.
