Jai Shree Ram! Was the Call as residents of DLF 2 stepped out on 5th April at 8:00 am to take out a procession of Lord Ram to celebrate the upcoming occasion of Hanuman Jayanti!
7:15 am residents were requested to gather outside Gauri Shanker Mandir to kick start the journey across all lanes of DLF 2. While a lot of people stepped up to serve all by providing their cars and drivers, most chose to walk it along.
The initial plan to halt at 15 stops succeeded at 50 stops. So many people willingly offered seva by requesting a stop at the Yatra and providing Prasad to all. The devotional songs by Veenu Kalra and the Shyam Sakhi Mandal mesmerized one and all.
Approximately 500 Kgs of flowers were used and 31 Kgs of boondi prasad was distributed. Our cute & young resident of Gulmohar Marg, Aarav Yadav was showered with a lot of love and blessings as he chose to dress up as Lord Hanuman.
The procession covered every lane of DLF 2 and continued for about 8 hours ending at Gauri Shanker mandir to serve Bhandara prasad to all. The entire Rath Yatra was a joint effort by 180 and more volunteers from Vipin Yadav, Nishkam Foundation, Punjabi Mahasabha, Shubh Mangalwar Committee-Parshuram Shakha, Nishwarth Seva Foundation, Masoom Foundation, Brahmkumari Ashram, Arya Samaj Mandir Samiti, Gauri Shanker mandir Samiti, RWAs of Heritage, Oakwood & The villas, DLF QRT & DLF phase 2 police station.
The Shree Ram Rath Yatra brought about an emotion of devotion not only among those who participated in the Yatra but even the onlookers and to who so ever may have heard the unanimous chants of Jai Shree Ram!!
