How Did He & His Team Bring About a Position of Pride & How Did they Maintain Clubbing Standards!

What Makes Sanjeev Tick?

As soon as we entered the Club to interview Sanjeev Sareen, we were confronted with the well-lit beautifully done up Lounge on the ground floor. It was a Wow! experience and that’s what
Sanjeev believes in. He manages to create the Wow-factor in everything he does.

Our idea behind this interview was to delve into Sanjeev’s persona, to find out what’s so special about him, what makes him tick and how he plans to maintain all that has been done, and what should the new teams look into to ensure that the same quality and camaraderie is maintained on an ongoing basis in times to come.

The first principle a Club Team Leader must keep in mind is that the members are the prime reason he or she is on this hotseat, and should be open to listening to all of them and understand what they expect from us and act without wasting time.

Even though we are a residential club, the residents and members expect hospitality of the calibre of a super five-star hotel. In order to maintain that standard, we must keep in mind some of following important points:

Any change or upgradation in the Club should be vision-driven and the entire executive team should follow and become part of that vision and ensure that the Club staff also understands and follows that vision.

My CMC team and our Club staff share our vision of making the Club the best residential Club in the NCR. We have all worked  passionately to achieve this vision for 2022-23 and are equally excited to complete our vision for the next year, if elected.

We feel each team has contributed immensely to upgrade the Club over the years. The CMC team this year did extremely well to make Clubbing at 15A an exciting experience.

Housekeeping should be given the highest priority. Regular maintenance of equipment is a must. We must take AMCs of all Club equipment. One may feel that AMCs are unnecessary, but in the long run they prove to be cost-effective and important.

We must always keep in mind varying requirements of our members in the three age groups: Seniors, Youngsters and Kids including toddlers. We have, after a long time, been able to connect with all the three groups and brought them under the Club umbrella, understood their requirements and by and large fulfilled them.

Financially we are now in a very good position. It may not be possible to keep this going up all the time but we should be able to maintain this level with some astute planning and financial controls.

In case we are re-elected this year, we have the following pending jobs that we plan to execute:
The Swimming Pool and the Spa require a total overhaul, and after this season it should be taken up and completed before the next season begins.

Members in the Gym are feeling that they are being ignored. We plan to redo the Gym and put it on par with any international Gym.

With an aging society, the waiting time of the golf-cart has become very high and we plan to introduce another golf-cart to bridge the gap.

We have not been able to organise enough cultural programmes due to Covid. This year we have a big repertoire of programmes lined up.

We plan to open a Pool room and a small Party room for about 50 people, connected to Oasis terrace for small get-togethers. Members have been requesting for this small-gathering facility.
The Club needs a website; we had begun the work on it but unfortunately in this term we couldn’t complete it.  We plan to complete it in the next term.

While we are constantly on a path of upgradation and growth, it is important to maintain clubbing standards and ensure members follow club etiquette. We already have some rules in place and would put in place some more so that the Club keeps its high-profile intact all the time. Happy Clubbing!
