Singhal Family – Keeping the Tradition Alive

The Singhal couple (T4/ 801) is one of the most active senior citizen couples in Lotus Boulevard. You can see them cycling, swimming, walking, doing yoga and what not. Keeping the tradition alive, their two granddaughters, Ayushi and Akanksha, are trying their best to bring laurels not only to Boulevard but to entire Noida & UP.

Ayushi is now the National CBSE Table Tennis Champion in the U-14 Girls’ category. The CBSE Nationals were held at Sri Prakash Synergy School, Pedapurram, Andhra Pradesh from 9 – 13 January. Ayushi won five rounds to reach the finals where she defeated Himanshi Chaudhury of Karnataka 3 – 2 to clinch the trophy.

Ayushi is ranked 2nd in Delhi and 11th in India for 2022-23 in the U-13 Girls’ category.

Ayushi’s younger sister, Akanksha, also continues to shine at State and National Stages. Akanksha, aged 10, is Delhi rank 1 and India rank 11 in the U-11 Girls’ category. She also won a bronze medal in the mixed doubles event at the CBSE Nationals this year.

Ayushi studies in Jaypee Public School. She is learning table tennis under the guidance of top national coaches – Tapas Sarkar and Dr. Irfan Nazir at the Indian Table Tennis Academy at Noida Indoor Stadium.

Both the children continue to train extremely hard. We wish them all the success in their future endeavours.
