AIKGA Unit 8A is a very active and enthusiastic unit of AIKGA. Whenever there are any Udyan Mela, members participate with their small, medium or big Garden and individual entries of fruits, vegetables, herbs etc. I remember our members winning prizes in preparing meals for pregnant women and similar other things and individual entrees of their fruits and vegetables in pot and gamlas as well as their roof Gardens. Unit 8A was decorated with a bonanza of Prizes under the coordination of Manju bhabhi and her right hand Bharti Agarwal in the recently concluded AIKGA Flower Show 2023. Some of the prizes of the participants are listed below:
Manju Jain that is Manju bhabhi received two prizes one for her Garden in N35 Green Park Extension and the other for her maintenance of Jain School Garden. Please see the photograph of our stall which depicts Holi colors and Radha – Krishna in Jhula in the background.
Rekha Mittal got three prizes: one for her Garden and two for her flower pots. I appreciate her tenacity of purpose which got her this honor.
Sudha Jain, a veteran in the game, received the prize for her Garden once again. I do not know how many prizes she has amassed by now but she was so happy to receive the prize yet again. Renu Agarwal received the pot prize for vegetable cabbage. She was honored with a “highly recommended” certificate.
Our talented participant Indra Vaish of K 35 Green Park Main won the first prize for her terrace garden.
Three chairs for all the prize winners. Their zeal for beautiful gardens not only makes the house look special but takes away the boredom, negativity and gives them positivity and peace of mind. It is a medicine for insomnia too.
