All Green Park Main residents are well versed with the pathetic condition of roads in the colony. Over the years the condition has really deteriorated specially the road which connects the Green
Park Market to the Aurobindo Marg. It was in a pathetic condition with many potholes. Kids and seniors residents had fallen and hurt themselves badly repeatedly. Potholes were full of stagnant water which was breeding mosquitoes. GPM did not look like a B grade category colony. This road which connects Aurobindo Marg to the main Green Park market is the main Marterial road that bears heavy traffic flow and as such was broken at many spots bearing a lot of potholes.
Thankfully with the efforts of our MLA Somnath Bhartiji and MCD Councillor Sarita Phogatji, who had assured us new roads and carpeting well before MCD elections, have now lived up to their promise. In a very pleasant surprise for our Green Park residents, the Yes bank road which connects the Green park market with the main road has been freshly carpeted. It is free of potholes. We are very thankful to our RWA for their intense follow up especially the President Lalit Kumar ji, Mohalla coordinator Ms Krishna Rao and other EC members who have been actively helping in removal of cars in the middle of the night, helping coordinating with all for smooth moving of the workers for the carpeting of the road.
It sure was a pleasure to drive on this smooth road. We really hope that the residents will now take care and not wash their cars with copious amounts of water which may then lead to breakage of the newly carpeted road. We surely hope that the other internal colony roads will be carpeted soon.
