Post Covid there was a big Holi bash in SDA. People have been craving for some celebrations so the RWA thought of organising something special this time.
With games for the children and elders too. followed by tambola organised by our advisor Kamal Mangla.
Being Sunday though the programme started late but the residents and the children thoroughly enjoyed it and everyone was totally engrossed in each and every activity. Especially the ladies who took part in different races, took off their sandals and chappals and were ready to compete bare..footed…. their spirit of winning was no less than the children… i think even MORE…. they were highly enthusiastic and fully charged…. the races were followed by the musical chairs both for men and women separately and lastly it was tambola…. in which there was pin drop silence as if some important examination was being held. One of the New members got the first full house of Rs2 k. What a BEGINNER’S LUCK ? it was followed by prize distribution… which comprised of stationary items… courtsey our sec. Renu Batra Then the three musical chair winners were given a set of TWO YERA air tight jars each.. Vinod pal, Shashi Jain and Niru Agarwal…
In between tea and Lahori jeera were served continuously to the residents and then about 2.pm lunch was served… there was a line for the lunch but it was being managed properly…. it was a proper Holi menu… Dahi bhallas.. with saunth..
Matar paneer and pulao…. sitaphal and bedmi Aloo and even simple poori was also there…along with stuffed Gulab jamuns At the tables along with food water.. coke and Sprite was served… All the children were given chocolates even if they had not won any game… to build up their morale… on the whole it was a super duper team work with showed efforts and follow up of many days…. Almost 150 residents enjoyed the pre Holi Milan lunch
