This particular dog is seen and fed near house no C4/24 and 25 SDA. This doge had bitten more than 40 residents recently. Anup Chawla and Deepa sahi’s grand daughter were bitten badly by the some dog. Mrs Sahi is very upset about this as her grand daughter is in class 12 th and is giving her board exam.
The incidents of dog bite have became rampant in all colonies and unfortunately there is no clear policy of Govt to tackle this issue. On one hand these are the animal lovers who compassionately feed these strays ( and there is nothing wrong in feeding them), but when a dog becomes aggressive and becomes dangerous to the society then MCD needs to take away the dog and treat it. Incidents of dogs biting the humans badly has sent a shock wave among residents. Children and seniors are specially at risk and are too scared to venture out.
Recently the RWA held a meeting with the MLA and the councillor where this issue was also discussed seriously. Residents requested a dossier to be shared by MCD to all the RWA ‘s defining the responsibilities pertaining to stray dogs in the respective colony and in a time frame the information should reach MCD which will enable them to recheck this at their end and carry out the procedure to overcome these challenges. Col Grover requested the MLA and Councillor to take up this issue with DC SDMC for immediate removal of this particular dog.
