A plastic waste bottle crushing machine was installed at the Defence Colony main Market and inaugurated by Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture Meenakshi Lekhi on 28 Feb under CSR initiative. These machines are for crushing waste plastic bottles normally discarded by public into smaller size and will help motivate the public to use and maintain a plastic free environment in the area. Present on the occasion were Dy Commissioner Central Zone, Brand Ambassador Shammi Talwar, Smriti Gupta from NGO Swalamban along with RWA’s and Defence Colony market shopkeepers.
