This year in Utopia, on 07 March, preparation of the holy ritual of Holika Dehan was a notch higher. Symbolizing the victory of good over evil, Holikaji was made very creatively with an effigy of Holika with Prahlad in her lap sitting on top of the pyre. As soon as the pyre was lit, Prahlad was removed from Holika’s lap, symbolizing how Holika got burned in the fire while Prahlad remained unharmed.
Sweets and gujiyas were distributed among the residents and chandan tika applied on their forehead.
