The Ladies’ Club is an active group in the Imperial Court community. It conducts social activities to build bonhomie and cohesion within Imperial Court. It has a dearly – held tradition of throwing a grand bash for the husbands at the end of the Club President’s tenure.
Renu Khunger, the outgoing President, and the working committee kept the tradition alive by organising the Husbands’ Night on Saturday, 4 March at Kota House, New Delhi. The do was a ‘couples only’ event where the women upped the fashion quotient by dressing up in formal Indian wear. They were complimented by their handsome husbands who turned up in formal evening wear.
The evening was organised to make the husbands feel special and enjoy some fun time with their better halves. The mood of the evening was set with music by Devyani Sharma and was kept rolling with an array of interesting games conceptualised by Ratna Nag, Rakhee Agarwal, Preeti Ahuja and Jyotsna Singh.
Stuti Mathur added smiles to every face with her hilarious commentary during the game ‘Dilli Dilwalon Ki’ which was won by Rajnish Khunger and Raman Sahini. Yasmin Anwar kept the audience engaged with her interesting compering of the game ‘Mr. X’. Winners of this game were Manish Joshi (Husband of the Year), Ashok Gupta (Gabbar Singh), Narendra Mutneja (James Bond), Vikas Khandelwal (Frog Prince) and Rakesh Bhatia (Sun Shine).
A sumptuous spread of food and sparkling drinks added flavour to the memorable evening which saw a huge attendance of guests. With sweet memories and anecdotes from the evening, the Imperial Ladies’ Club looks forward to yet another year of engaging club activities under the next President.
