Residents of KT11 to 16 celebrated Choti Holi with great enthusiasm on 7 March evening. The lawns were decorated with beautiful lights. A stage was set up for the fashion show and dance, and a shamiana for food stalls.
A beautiful rangoli was made near the Holika Dahan site. The DJ played rhythmic and melodious music to add gaiety to the occasion! The festivities included a colourful fashion show by ladies. They gracefully exhibited their talent accompanied by melodious and electrifying music.
A beautiful dance performance followed. All the ladies of the cluster were felicitated with a lovely gift and a gift voucher to observe the International Women’s Day. The program concluded with Holika Dahan performed with proper rituals by Pandit ji.
Gujiya and chips were distributed to all residents. Sumptuous food stalls were set up to whet the residents’ appetite. These included Chaat, Golgappa, Momos, Noodles, Vada Pav and a variety of Ice Creams and Kulfis.
Following the wonderful Holika Dahan, Holi was celebrated with equal enthusiasm on 8 March. The resident families smeared each other with colourful gulal! The braver ones enjoyed the rain dance with lovely music!
Food stalls did good business with mouth-watering Chaat, Chicken Curry, Chola Bhature, and a variety of shakes and ice creams. Excellent job by the organisers in arranging lovely functions on both the days! Special mention to Mrs Kumkum Sinha, Dr Puneet and Rashmi Sethi, and Mr Sahgal.
