New Park Lights are on the Way

New high-mast lights will be installed in the sector’s parks. While RWCS had requested seven lights, six high-mast lights have been approved. The installation work appears to have begun with a park in A-Block. High-Mast Lighting is an LED light fixture with the capability of illuminating large areas. While it is similar to floodlighting, the poles for high mast lights are often much taller than flood lights. The poles range from 50 feet to 150 feet, with 3 to 12 fixtures on each pole. They provide even lighting where needed and have zero uplight optics, which reduce sky glow and usually meet dark sky requirements.
