Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Ananya Bharat!

On 4 February, a Nritya Natika was organised, by Abhi Vyakti Cultural Forum at IMA house sec 31 Noida. The concept was based on the culture of India, starting from the Vedic period to the present time. 47 ladies of the forum from 25 yrs to 60 years, not only from sectors 30, 31 and 36 but also from all over Noida, showcased their talent. The program started with knowledge of Vedas and Upanishads, followed by imp characters of Ramayan and Mahabharat, followed by Bhakti sangeet of Kabir Das, Tulsidas, Surdas, and Meerabai. A few historical women of ancient India like Maitrai, Gargi, and Gayatri, from the Vedic period, Sita and Urmila from Ramayan and Gandhari and Kunti from Mahabharat were given tributes. Sacrifice, patriotism, and loyalty were enacted in the form of Hadi Rani and Panna Dhai. Of course, the courageous Laxmi Bai was the highlight of the show. The great Indian poets Kalidas ka Abhigyan Shakuntalam and Guru Tagore ki Geetanjali were great hits. The poetry of Amir Khusro represented the Mughal era. The impact of British rule was shown with various dance forms of popular numbers. The grand finale was in the form of patriotic poetry – Bharat ka NavNirman and Bharat hum ko jaan se pyara hai. Tri-colour by dupattas was shown with great enthusiasm. Amazing Indian map formed in 8 meters patriotic grand dance medley by Gurgaon group of Abhivyakti. Programme was attended by 275 people and appreciated by one and all. The director and writer of this program was Abha Atray.

The programme was a grand success as it was well-planned and executed. We know Abha Atray with her leadership skills would do an outstanding job. We look forward to more shows like this. Once again congratulations to Abha Atray and her team for putting up such a memorable show.
