Makar Sankranthi

Makar Sankranthi is an occasion, when people often distribute warm clothes, to the needy along with peanuts, Revari, and gazak. On this occasion, members of the NFC, RWA Ashoka park and the young kids of the colony, distributed 100 blankets to the people, working at construction sites. To felicitate the kids, the RWA gave them certificates. These children, had also contributed in the purchase, of the blankets, from sales, made from the diwali mela games. 80 packets of revari gazak were also distributed. Along with some charity, this event instilled, humanitarian values, in the growing children. It was a wonderful get together, with hot tea and gazak in the winter chill. Contributed by Sangeeta Jindal
